Getting Ready to Move

You should start collecting as soon as possible

  • Plastic Bags

  • Old Newpapers/ Bubble Wrap & Tissue paper for delicates
  • Markers

Some Important Packing Tips

  • Cushion the bottom and sides of the boxes before filling them
  • Dont over pack them
  • Pack heavy items in smaller boxes and light items in larger boxes
  • Label all boxes
  • Carefully pack the breakable items

The following items should never be packed

  • Jewellery
  • Flammables
  • Compustibles
  • Corrosive Liquids

  • Contact telephone company of new address
  • Contact electricity board of new address
  • Contact gas company of new address
  • Contact cable television company of new address
  • Contact An Post to re-direct mail
  • Contact banks, building societies etc
